Sans Souci Samui is a small beachfront hotel at the quieter southern end of Chaweng Beach, with Thai-style rooms set through a lush garden just a few steps from the sand. It is close enough to reach Chaweng’s shops, restaurants and nightlife on foot, but far enough down the beach to feel noticeably calmer once you are back at the hotel.

Accommodation comes in three straightforward categories: Superior, Deluxe and Deluxe Beach Front. The rooms have a traditional look with wood, rattan and tiled floors rather than a polished modern-resort style, and each has its own balcony or terrace.

The restaurant sits right beside the beach, serving Thai and international dishes with fresh seafood playing a big part in the menu. Guests can eat with the sea directly in front of them, then stay by the beach for a massage or simply spend the afternoon under the palms.

Sans Souci works best for travellers who care more about a quiet beachfront setting and easy access to Chaweng than flashy facilities. It is an older property with plenty of character, and the garden-and-beach layout is still the main reason people choose it.
