Fisherman's Village

About

La Cantina

La Cantina brings Mexican and Tex-Mex food to the beachfront at the quieter end of Fisherman’s Village, with open-sided tables looking straight across the sea. It works just as well for a lazy lunch as it does for dinner, when the lights come on and the walking street starts to fill.

The menu covers tacos, burritos, enchiladas and quesadillas, with chicken, meat and vegetarian options available. There is more than the usual cantina line-up too, including rotisserie chicken, grilled meats, steakhouse cuts, fresh salads and sharing dishes for the table.

Margaritas, mojitos, sangria, tequila and cold beer do plenty of the heavy lifting, while coffee and non-alcoholic drinks make daytime visits equally easy. The sea-facing tables are the main draw, especially once the afternoon heat drops and the evening crowd begins to arrive.

La Cantina opens from lunch into the night, so it is an easy stop before a wander through Fisherman’s Village or the Friday Walking Street market. Come for tacos and a drink by the beach, or settle in properly with grilled food, cocktails and no particular reason to rush.
