Salefino

Salefino is an Italian restaurant in Bangrak specialising in Mediterranean cuisine inspired by the flavours of Sicily. Since opening in 2017, it has built its reputation around handmade pasta, carefully sourced Italian ingredients and a dining room that looks out across Bangrak Bay towards the sunset.

The menu follows the traditions of Italian cooking rather than trying to do a bit of everything. Fresh seafood, homemade pasta and classic recipes sit alongside premium ingredients imported from Italy, with dishes such as seafood spaghetti, truffle ravioli and Sicilian lobster pasta sharing the menu with Black Angus beef and traditional antipasti.

Dinner here is as much about the setting as the food. Tables face the sea, fishing boats drift across the bay and the sky changes colour as the evening unfolds. Inside, the restaurant has a relaxed coastal style, while owner and head chef Camilla Merli brings together family recipes collected over more than 30 years with ideas shaped by her travels and Italian heritage.

Just 300 metres from the Big Buddha Temple entrance, Salefino is a destination for anyone looking for an authentic Italian dinner on Koh Samui. It's equally suited to a romantic evening, a celebration or simply taking your time over good food with a sea view.
