About

La Cote de Boeuf

La Côte de Bœuf is a French bistro and steakhouse set in an open-air garden in Bang Rak, a few minutes by road from Fisherman’s Village. The kitchen is led by a Lyon-born chef whose background includes restaurants in France and Switzerland, with a menu built around French bistro cooking, grilled beef and regularly changing specials.

The steakhouse menu includes côte de bœuf served with roasted marrowbone, beef fillet, hanger steak, Black Angus picanha, Wagyu rump and skirt, dry-aged striploin and rib eye. Each steak comes with vegetables, a choice of potato or macaroni side and house-made sauces including green pepper, shallot, Dijon mustard, blue cheese and mushroom cream.

French classics extend beyond the grill. The main menu lists Burgundy snails, Lyonnaise onion soup, homemade terrine, beef tartare, duck confit salad, roasted Camembert, Swiss cheese fondue and beef cheek confit with forest mushrooms. The chef’s suggestions change according to available produce and can include fish soup, veal kidneys, Morteau sausage, offal dishes and slow-cooked meats.

The changing chef’s suggestions and Monday Beef Party give regulars a reason to return, while first-time visitors can build a meal around classic French starters, a carefully chosen steak and one of the house-made sauces. It is a strong choice for anyone looking for traditional French cooking, generous beef dishes and a menu that goes well beyond the usual steakhouse selection.
