World Cup 2026 Predictions: Monday 15 June 2026

The World Cup rolls into another packed day of group stage football on Monday, with five matches spread across Groups E, F and H.

Some of the tournament favourites make their first appearances, while a few potential dark horses get their chance to make an early statement. As always, these are Samui Unlocked's predictions before a ball has been kicked.

Samui Unlocked Predictions

🇩🇪 Germany vs 🇨🇼 Curaçao

Prediction: Germany 4 - 0 Curaçao

Germany should have far too much quality, possession and firepower for Curaçao. Expect a comfortable opening win and a chance for the Germans to build confidence early in the tournament.

Winner: Germany

🇳🇱 Netherlands vs 🇯🇵 Japan

Prediction: Netherlands 2 - 1 Japan

One of the most interesting fixtures of the day. Japan's organisation and work rate will make life difficult, but the Dutch should have enough creativity and attacking depth to edge a close contest.

Winner: Netherlands

🇨🇮 Ivory Coast vs 🇪🇨 Ecuador

Prediction: Ivory Coast 1 - 1 Ecuador

Both sides are evenly matched and capable of causing problems going forward. This feels like a game where neither team will want to lose their opening match.

Result: Draw

🇸🇪 Sweden vs 🇹🇳 Tunisia

Prediction: Sweden 2 - 0 Tunisia

Sweden's physical presence and tournament experience could prove decisive. Tunisia are always competitive, but goals may be hard to come by.

Winner: Sweden

🇪🇸 Spain vs 🇨🇻 Cape Verde

Prediction: Spain 3 - 0 Cape Verde

Spain should dominate possession from the opening whistle. Cape Verde have earned their place on the world stage, but this looks like a difficult introduction against one of Europe's strongest sides.

Winner: Spain

Monday Prediction Summary

  • Germany 4 - 0 Curaçao
  • Netherlands 2 - 1 Japan
  • Ivory Coast 1 - 1 Ecuador
  • Sweden 2 - 0 Tunisia
  • Spain 3 - 0 Cape Verde

Can Germany and Spain start with convincing wins? Will Japan spring an early surprise? And can Ecuador or Ivory Coast take control of Group E?

We'll be back tomorrow to see how many we got right.
