Koh Samui has officially been named the Best Island in Asia-Pacific in the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2026, giving the island another shiny little crown for the trophy cabinet.
The news was reported by Thai PBS World, with the official rankings published by Travel + Leisure Asia.
Koh Samui Takes the Top Spot
In the 2026 rankings, Koh Samui placed first ahead of other major island destinations including Phu Quoc, Bali, Palawan, Penang, Phuket, Langkawi and Boracay.
For anyone who lives here, visits often, or has fallen under the island’s slightly dangerous spell, this will not feel like a huge surprise.
